Based on the teachings of founder and author Dawn Callan, Transformative Arts Institute (TAI) combines the disciplines of Martial Arts, Philosophy and Spirituality to teach people how to change their relationship to fear and create a new sense of purpose, responsibility and mastery in their lives.

TAI’s work is a powerful antidote to the fear and anxiety of these times. Participants identify and remove personal barriers and go on to achieve life-changing, powerful and permanent results. And the goal is to get to these breakthroughs quickly.

Over 5,000 men and women have been trained in TAI’s seminars and programs since the company’s formation over twenty years ago. A variety of formats are used to meet the needs of individuals, corporations, universities and other groups and organizations. These range from private coaching and small group work to large scale seminars, hands-on self defense workshops, and the TAI signature program - the Life Mastery Series. A new format, a two hour seminar on managing fear, has recently been introduced to reach a broad audience with TAI’s timely message about how to tap personal power and feel safe in these times.

Dawn Callan’s background blends practical life skills, physical training and the martial arts with a strong base of spiritual teachings and philosophy which are central to her work. She holds a 7th degree black belt in Kenpo Karate and 5th degree black belt in Kobra Kaj Karate. The extended TAI team is made up of committed and professional master teachers. The team includes black belt martial artists who are also experienced in counseling, public speaking and seminar instruction.

Ms. Callan authored Awakening the Warrior Within (Tenacity Pr, 1999) and two additional books are forthcoming. She has made guest appearances on CNN, Geraldo, Sonya Live and Tough Target, a variety of radio programs and has been featured in national print media. She lectures and teaches at conferences and events internationally.
