I highly recommend your classes to anyone who wants to learn some self-defense techniques.It doesn't matter what size or shape you're in. In my classes, we had men and women, big and small, and even some trained in martial arts. All will say that they learned some skills which could save their life. I even plan to have my daughters attend once they are old enough so that they can defend themselves in a dangerous situation.

As I sit here, pencil in hand, Monday morning, 10:00am, (feeling sore, but great), I have the feeling this communique will not be taking the form of a traditional "Thank you note." I have been truly and fully inspired by the work you and your assistants did here at Sonoma University this past weekend. Many fancy brochures describing workshops for women cross my desk yearly - some of them the WRC has chosen to sponsor - and none of them have totally re-energized me and commanded the students' attention like the "Awakening The Warrior Within" workshop did.
As many of the students shared with you in our closing circle, their lives have (in a single weekend) taken on a new meaning. Though empowerment is, as we know, an ongoing life process, the gift you possess is the ability to inspire personal growth through the teaching of practical self-defense techniques.

It is indeed a privilege for me to have the opportunity to write this letter of recommendation. As President of my own Management Consulting company, I am often asked to write such letters and typically decline politely. However, in this case, I gladly accepted because I have seen the results of Dawn Callan and her amazing group of seminar leaders firsthand. Not only have I personally experienced the seminar, but I was so impressed that I brought the entire group to Hong Kong to work with a client's staff (about 35 people). The results have been tremendous and have exceeded our hopes and expectations substantially. Even with cultural challenges, the material presented, and especially the methods utilized, broke down barriers and empowered people at a very deep, personal level. The staff has become more powerful in dealing with each other and customers and we have seen 20% increases in productivity in the last 30 days following the seminars. Turnover is now non-existent and tardiness no longer a problem. Increased confidence has lead to better communication, increased responsibility, appropriate courage and risking, more focus (less gossip and wasted time) and most of all, commitment to themselves, the team, the corporation. Bluntly stated, Dawn and her group has accelerated the process of alignment and productivity substantially. We fully expect to continue this improvement in future months because there are many "tools" that get developed and utilized that stem from the work in the seminar.
It has long been my experience that the most successful organizations realize that in order to prosper and grow, they must support their most important asset: people. This program does this in a passionate and powerful way. The results are extraordinary-, quantitatively and qualitatively. I strongly recommend that you and your organization utilize the incredible talents of Ms. Dawn Callan, her team and her program.
